Kristin Meyer – ’94 BS Secondary Education

Kristin’s area of expertise is teaching Kindergarten and First Grade, as well as developing after school enrichment and remediation programs to expand the horizons of low-SES students. She has eleven years of teaching experience in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade and has developed several after school and summer programs. These after school programs are located on site at the school or in the local public housing community's recreation building. Programs included literature and art programs, a science-based program heavily on water and the water cycle, an English as a Second Language program, and a program just for fun and enrichment called Fantastic Fall. Kristin was featured as an alumni profile in our 2012 Penn State Education magazine.

Tricia Miller – ’94 BS Secondary Education

Tricia is a 12 grade English teacher at Penns Valley High School. She was named 2012 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year, an honor that perfectly reflects her instructional expertise, outstanding management skills, positive professional attitude, and focus on student achievement. Tricia was featured as an alumni profile in our 2012 Penn State Education magazine.

Stephanie Danette Preston -- BS Biology; MA Curriculum & Instruction (Science Ed); PhD Curriculum & Instruction

Stephanie is the Senior Director of Penn State's Office of Graduate Educational Equity Programs, an office that leads the Graduate School's efforts to foster diversity and to provide a welcoming climate for both prospective and current graduate students of underrepresented groups. She has experience and expertise in the areas of science education, teacher education, multiculturalism in education, diversity education, qualitative research methods, and discourse analysis.

Dr. Joseph Clapper -- BS Elementary Education/Secondary English Ed; M.Ed. Elementary and Secondary Principal; D.Ed. Superintendent of Schools

Dr. Clapper has experience as an elementary school teacher, secondary English teacher, elementary and secondary principal, and superintendent. He is currently serving as Assistant Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Principal's Association. His areas of expertise include classroom teaching and teacher supervision/evaluation. 

Bill Vitori -- BS Chemistry Education; MS Chemistry

Bill has spent more than 35 years in the classroom as a physics, honors chemistry, and AP chemistry teacher. He was President of EFEA (his local teachers' union) and is co-leader of the Greater Allegheny Alumni-Student Teacher Network. His areas of expertise include science teaching, classroom management, and unions.
