John Foster – ’77 BS, ’83 M. Ed. Vocational Industrial Education, and ’97 Ph. D. Workforce Education

John serves as the President/CEO of NOCTI and its subsidiary, Nocti Business Solutions. Previously, he served as Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the Pennsylvania Department of Education, a state which recognized the importance of industry credentials and championed the use of mandatory technical assessment. John also served as Vice President of the National Association for State Directors of Career and Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEC) and has also served that organization as the legislative chair, as a member of the original career cluster task force, and as its treasurer. John was featured as an alumni profile in our 2014 Penn State Education magazine.

Steve King - '98 Ph. D. Workforce Education

Steve is currently the Vice President of Talent and Leadership Effectiveness at Allstate Insurance where he is responsible for the leadership development of enterprise learning and performance and succession management. Steve has also worked at Worthington Industries, Constellation Energy, and Management Concepts.  He has written two books on learning and performance improvement, one with his wife Marsha who also has two degrees from the College of Education. Steve and his wife Marsha were featured as alumni profiles in our 2013 Penn State Education magazine.
