The Carrara Education Technology Center represents the local IT operations and support for the College of Education. This position’s operational scope manages the Education domain (LAN) for the four buildings that comprise the College of Education (Keller, Rackley, Chambers and Cedar Buildings). This position reports to the Deans’ Office and provides weekly IT updates to the Office of Associate Dean for Research, Outreach, and Technology.
This position leads a six-member team of IT professionals. This position is responsible and accountable for all active and non-active data connections. This position is responsible to deliver support to more than 520 paid administrators, faculty, staff, and graduate students. There are over 900 devices (computers, print/copiers, and smart mobile systems) served by the Carrara Education Technology Center (CETC).
This position is responsible to continue to seek efficiencies, save financial resources, and pursue opportunities for revenue enhancement so that the College can continue to meet and even exceed its many goals.
This position supports the following specially designated IT spaces: The Kraus Innovation Studio; Keller Studio space; the Mathematics Education Laboratory; the Language and Literacy Studio; Social Studies Education Laboratory and the Science Education Laboratory as part of our efforts to implement ideas for state-of-the-art learning spaces.
On a professional level this position is required to represent the College within the Penn State community. This position is actively involved in: Active member of ITLC Leadership Council (Liaison for the Office of Associate Dean for Research, Outreach, and Technology); Member on the following ITLC Sub-Committees.
