Jessica Buterbaugh is a marketing communications specialist for the College of Education. She has a master's degree in communication theory and research from West Virginia University and a bachelor's degree in communication studies from California University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the College of Education, Jessica was a news writer and editor for Penn State's Office of News and Media Relations where she worked closely with the media to fulfill expert requests and pitch stories. Before moving to the Centre County region, Jessica was the director of an education foundation for a public school district and was an adjunct instructor of communication studies at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland. She currently serves as an adjunct instructor for the College of Communications where she teaches COMM 260.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys volunteering for animal and social welfare causes. She and her husband enjoy traveling, spending time in the outdoors, and supporting Pittsburgh and Penn State athletic teams.
