Wanted: 4-H Summer Assistant in Delaware County, PA

Announcement about 4-H summer assistant position

College students, it’s not too early to think about a summer job!

Do you enjoy working with youth and adults? Are you a college student who is very organized, enthusiastic, a self-starter? Do you like camping?

For a great summer job that will give you a wide array of hands-on experiences ranging from teaching and public relations, to organizing, data input and program planning, why not consider becoming a 4-H Assistant for Penn State Cooperative Extension this summer?

The job is full time, beginning in May, working for 12 weeks, and you must have your own transportation. Some of your time will be spent at the office in Smedley Park (Springfield) and some of it will be at the 4-H Farm in Newtown Square, as well as a week at 4-H Camp Shehaqua in the Poconos.

Education majors are a plus, but we'll take a look at anyone with a solid interest in youth and a good track record in organizing.

For more information and an application, contact Helaine Brown, 4-H Educator, at hxb1@psu.edu or call 610-690-7665.
