Karen Murphy Named Winner of 2007 Cotterill Leadership Award

Murphy was selected for her display of leadership in the College.

murphy_sml.jpgUNIVERSITY PARK, PA - P. Karen Murphy, associate professor of educational psychology, is the recipient of the 2007 Cotterill Leadership Enhancement Award in the College of Education. Murphy will be formally acknowledged at the College’s annual Awards and Recognition Ceremony on April 28.

The Cotterill Award recognizes and rewards exemplary leadership in the College. The award is funded through an endowment created by Joan and David Cotterill (’60 EL ED, ’60 PSY, respectively). It includes resources for professionally related activities, including participate in conferences, seminars, and sabbaticals.

Murphy's leadership is exemplified by her role as the chair of the College's Faculty Council. Previous recipients of the Cotterill Award are listed below:
