The Pennsylvania State University has teamed up with Box to deliver a secure and efficient file storage and sharing mechanism.  With Penn State's Box service, each faculty, staff and students are eligible to receive unlimited storage and the ability to share with other Penn State faculty, staff, and students.

Don't have a Box account?  You can sign up for your Penn State Box account at box.psu.edu.  After logging in with your access account you will be guided through a process to create your Box account.  Once created you will now be able to begin storing files.  You can also access Box from your PC or Mac by installing the Box Sync software.  The Box Sync software is already installed on all Windows PCs maintained by the College of Education.  On the Mac side you can launch Managed Software Center (Update) and select Box Sync.

What are the advantages to Box Sync?

  • Unlimited storage VS. Dropbox's 2 GB, Google Drive's 15GB or Microsoft OneDrive's 15GB
  • Files are stored at Penn State VS. another storage mechanism that is NOT maintained by PSU
  • Easy sharing and collaboration with Penn State faculty, staff and students
  • Unlimited Department Box accounts are also available
  • Resource Community for Box at PSU
  • Assured Apps for Box at PSU
In conclusion, Box at Penn State is a welcomed addition to storing and sharing files with fellow Penn State employees and the Carrara Education Technology Center highly recommends this service.  If you have questions about setup or sharing please feel free to contact CETC at help.educ.psu.edu
