Biography

Eric Bergstrom is an assistant teaching professor in the Penn State College of Education Workforce Education and Development program and a career transition senior consultant. He is a faculty member in the Master of Professional Studies in Organization Development and Change program, a program manager for Penn State's credit certificate program with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, a certified New Horizons Retirement Coach, a certified Organization Development Practitioner, and a certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator facilitator.

 

Eric has extensive experience in assessing, training and coaching individual contributors and leaders; designing and implementing talent development programs and processes; and guiding and leading change efforts as both an internal organization development consultant as well as an external consultant. Eric has led a division training organization and has managed division succession planning programs. He has managed the training function for large facility start-ups and has administered workforce reduction processes including the provision of outplacement services to affected individuals.

 

In his faculty roles at Penn State, Eric has taught undergraduate courses in management and graduate courses in training & development, and workforce education and development. He has developed/delivered leadership programs and assessments for Penn State Management Development as well as for The Pennsylvania College of Technology.

 

Eric’s consulting experience includes administration of assessments, design/delivery of custom training and development programs, and consultation in training & development, leadership development, and organization development to over 60 private and public clients in a variety of industries.

 

Eric received his B.S., his MEd in Training & Development, and his Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development, all from Penn State.
