Biography

Jermonica Earls, MS, MEd, serves as the Academic Program Specialist and Internship Coordinator for the Education and Public Policy (EPP) program in the Department of Education Policy Studies at The Pennsylvania State University. 

 

In this role, Mrs. Earls supports student success by coordinating academic programming, guiding internships, and fostering connections among students, faculty, and community partners. With a background in education, she is dedicated to preparing future leaders who will promote equity, access, and innovation in educational systems.

 

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mrs. Earls attended Belaire High School. She is married to Jeffery Earls, and together they are proud parents of two sons, Jaxson and Jordan Earls.

 

Mrs. Earls holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Southern University, a Master of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, and a Master of Education in Academic Advising from Kansas State University. These degrees provide her with a strong interdisciplinary foundation for her work in education, mentoring, and student services. Her academic background and professional expertise illustrate her commitment to empowering students to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

 

Her professional career includes extensive experience in student development, particularly in mentoring student-athletes at Penn State’s Morgan Academic Center. In this role, she has supported students in areas such as time management, academic skill development, personal growth, and career exploration, while helping them navigate the unique challenges of balancing academics and athletics at the Division I level. Through her leadership and mentorship, she has contributed to fostering resilience, self-confidence, and long-term academic success among diverse student populations.

 

Driven by a passion for education, equity, and wellness, Mrs. Earls' professional philosophy emphasizes integrity, collaboration, and service, viewing her work as an opportunity to positively influence both the academic and personal lives of the students she serves.
