Mark Merritt is currently serving at the director of EDUCATE. In addition to this role, Mark is an instructor in the College of Education where he teaches and develops science content courses for elementary education majors.  He has always had a keen interest in technology and really enjoys exploring and thinking critically about the possibilities.  A former industrial research chemist, Mark found his passion for teaching and supporting teachers and has never looked back or been more professionally satisfied!

Priscilla Taylor is a third year doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Curriculum and Supervision. Her current research interests include technology utilization by teacher educators, design of teacher education programs in light of digital innovation, and models of professional development. She works with teacher candidates, inservice teachers, and teacher educators on integrating technology for meaningful teaching and learning.

Support FrameworkOur goal is to keep current with developments and research on teaching, learning, and technology. Through this initiative, we support C&I faculty and graduate students in exploring and enacting new technologies in their courses and in their research.  We also help to provide teacher education students with the resources they need to be successful using digital tools in their courses and field placements. Support for both faculty and students ranges from one-on-one work to seminars and workshops, based on student and faculty needs.
