On Friday, October 26th, Dean David H. Monk, the Herr family and friends, the Counselor Education Faculty, the Clinic faculty, and doctoral students celebrated the dedication of the Dr. Edwin L. Herr Clinic.

The ceremony, attended by his wife, Patricia Ann Greene Herr, and his three children, Amber, Christopher and Alicia, and several relatives and friends celebrated Dr. Herr’s lifelong contributions to Counseling and Psychology.

Dr. Herr began his Penn State career on Aug. 15, 1968, and retired June 30, 2003, as distinguished professor emeritus of education and associate dean emeritus of the College of Education. He served as head of the Department of Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, and Rehabilitation Services for 24 years and was dedicated to student learning and training of culturally competent clinicians.
