Hadeel Bakhsh
Irma Barbakadze

is an associate professor of educational administration and leadership and Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at East European University in Tbilisi, Georgia and head of American education at European School.  She is interested in educational leadership, higher education administration, and international exchanges. 


Hoda El Mahdy, a 2017-18 Humphrey Fellow in Penn State's College of Education, will serve as the keynote speaker at the local American Association of University Women's (AAUW) annual luncheon on Monday, Jan. 22.

is acting manager at the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development in Cairo, Egypt.  Her areas of interest are nonprofit management, vocational education, and education to employment. 

Viviana Gomez-Cuervo

is a teacher of English at the Office of Cuban Airport and Aeronautical Services in Havana. She is interested in teaching English as a second language and individual differences in foreign language learning. 

Ana Gonzelez Romero

is an professor of physics and department head in the College of Engineering at Universidad del Zulia, in Maracaibo, Venezuela.  Her interests area include higher education administration, business administration, and leadership. 

Natalia Kovalchuk

is the director of the liberal arts baccalaureate program at Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine.  Her interests include liberal arts education, student advising and tutoring, and higher education administration. 


Sergey Mogilnyy

is Vice Rector of strategy, research,and international affairs at Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University in Astana, Kazakhstan.  He is interested in higher education leadership, agricultural policy, rural development, and agricultural education and extension.

Kinley Rinchen

is a deputy chief planning officer at the Royal University of Bhutan in Thimphu. HIs interests include higher education administration, planning, tertiary education reform, and change management. 

Maria Rodriguez Aroca

is the advisor to the Provost at La Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) in Guayaquil, Ecuador.  She is interested in undergraduate education, alumni relations, and innovative pedagogies. 

Lazare Rukundwa Sebitereko

is the president and rector of Eben-Ezer University of Minembwe in Congo (DRC-Kinshasa).  He is interested in the integration of local knowledge in higher education systems, youth empowerment, spirituality, peace, and community development. 

Wee Hoe Tan

is an associate professor at Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) in Perak, Malaysia and the vice chair of Serious Games Asia Society based in Singapore.  His interests include gamification, game-based learning, and theories of problem solving.
