Emily Wolfe

Emily joined the staff at the Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy (ISAL) in June 2014 as Education Program Associate. Prior to that, she worked for the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit 11 on the PA Statewide Family Literacy Consultation Project for 16 years.  In this capacity, Emily provided consultation and professional development to family literacy programs across the state of Pennsylvania with an emphasis on early literacy and parent engagement. Emily also spent the past several years developing and facilitating distance professional development opportunities.

Here at ISAL, Emily coordinates the America Reads @ Penn State project.  Her dedication to serving children and families, promoting literacy development and making a difference in the community are an asset to her America Reads role.

Emily's main areas of interest include early literacy, brain development, early childhood education, parent education, interactive literacy activities and children's literature.
