Fellowship Awards offered through the Adult Education Program
Floyd B. Fischer Fellowship
In 1987, Dr. Floyd B. Fischer, former Penn State Vice-President of Continuing Education, endowed a gift to the College of Education to support the "Floyd B. Fischer Graduate Fellowship in Adult Education". The purpose of this fellowship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to graduate students enrolled in the University Park Adult Education Program. Consideration for this fellowship is given to all students who exhibit academic success, a sincere interest in adult education, and have documented financial need. The fellowship is awarded for one academic year.
David H. Nicholson Fellowship
In 1998, a second fellowship was created to honor Dr. David H. Nicholson. The purpose of this fellowship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to graduate students who are enrolled in the University Park Adult Education Graduate Program. Consideration for this fellowship is given to students who exhibit academic success, a sincere interest in adult and/or family literacy, and have documented financial need. The fellowship is awarded for one academic year.

Mary Ann Landis Alexander Destiny Scholarship
Graduate and Undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Education who are the first generation in their families to attend a college or university, who show academic promise, and demonstrate financial need. Mary Ann Landis Alexander - benefactor
Alumni Society 25th Anniversary/Pi Lambda Theta Scholarship

College of Education Alumni Distinguished Graduate Scholarship
Outstanding graduate students, who have demonstrated high academic achievement, have actively participated in school/community activities, and evidence a strong commitment and professional promise for the field of education. Alumni and Friends - benefactors

Superior graduate and undergraduate students with financial need. First preference to students from Shaler Area School District, Glenshaw, PA. Donald and Joan Menzel Dieter - benefactors
Conrad Frank, Jr. Graduate Fellowship
Outstanding full-time graduate students with financial need committed to college teaching and research, whose ethnic, cultural and/or national background contributes to the diversity of the student body. Conrad Frank Estate - benefactors
Miriam E. Gray Scholarship
Outstanding graduate and undergraduate students enrolled, or planning to enroll, in the College of Education whose students are connected with ongoing educational technology initiatives within the College. Miriam E. Gray - benefactor

Charles Evans Hunnell Endowed Scholarship
Outstanding full-time graduate or undergraduate students from Greene or Washington Counties (PA). Preferences (prioritized): (1) W. Greene High School graduates (2) Greene County (PA) residents, or (3) Washington County (PA) residents. Charles E. Hunnell - benefactor
Burdett E. Larson Graduate Fellowship

Doris M. Niebel Scholarship
