PAFEA State Officers

During the 2009 PAFEA State Conference, for the first time, we will elect state officers.  The state officers will serve as the student representatives on the PAFEA Advisory Board and help in planning state, regional, and national events.  The PAFEA State Officers will be ambassadors of their schools and their chartered Future Educators Association organizations.

If you are interested in running for a state office, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A current 9th - 11th grade student in a Pennsylvania High School
  • Be a member in good standing of your high school's charterd Future Educator's Association chapter
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (or equivalent) on a 4.0 GPA scale

Elections will be held for the following offices:
  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Recording Secretary
  • Public Relations Secretary

All officers selected will be required to assit in the planning of the state conference.  This planning will largely occur via virutal meetings through F.E.A. Connect or other online meeting venues.  Students and schools would need to have access to these technologies in order to participate in the meetings. (Microphones and earphones may be required.)
State Officers will also be responsible for overseeing Pennsylvania's representation at the F.E.A. National Conference and appropriate response during the "Roll Call of States."

If you are interested in running for office, please complete the form below, obtain the necessary signatures and support information and return it by April 2, 2009.  Time will  be allotted during the PAFEA State Conference for students to campaign.
