Recent staff changes, compiled September 2009

Several staff changes have taken place recently in the College and the following appointments have taken effect:


Trudi Haupt, formerly an administrative support assistant in the Education Policy Studies (EPS) Department, was promoted to the position of administrative support coordinator, which was vacated when Judy Leonard retired. Haupt can be contacted at 300 Rackley, tth1@psu.edu, or 863-0619.

Susan Bass, formerly an administrative support assistant in the Curriculum and Development (C&I) department, is now an administrative support assistant in EPS (Haupt’s previous role). She can be contacted at 300 Rackley, sgb13@psu.edu, or 865-3449.

Cynthia Fetters, formerly an administrative support assistant in the Learning and Performance Systems (LPS) department, was promoted to administrative support coordinator within the department when Lorraine Ritter retired in March. She can be contacted at 411E Keller, cdf2@psu.edu, or 863-9768.

Cindy Bierly is the administrative support coordinator for Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, and Rehabilitation Services (CECPRS) department. Formerly, she was the administrative support coordinator for the School of Languages and Literatures in the College of the Liberal Arts. She can be contacted at 327 CEDAR, cqb2@psu.edu, or 865-6643.

David Price has joined the College as stewardship coordinator/writer in the Office of Development, Public Relations, and Alumni Programs. He worked most recently at WPSU, where as lead producer he created and oversaw programming including Penn State Universe, Pennsylvania Inside Out, Huddle Up, and Scholastic Scrimmage. Price assumes the position previously vacated by Pam Batson, who has returned to Texas to be closer to her family.

Brent Hurley, who has served for the past year as the College's assistant director of alumni relations, has moved into a broader role for the University as associate director of travel and education for the Penn State Alumni Association. A search is currently under way to fill Hurley's position.

Susan Fleck, assistant director of development, has accepted a position at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, Va., where she will serve as director of major gifts and planned giving. A search to refill Fleck's position will begin soon.
