International Economist James Quilligan to Speak at Penn State

News release announcing an upcoming talk by James Quilligan, international economist

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – International economist James B. Quilligan will share his vision on the future of global development and human cooperation in an upcoming visit to Penn State’s University Park campus. Quilligan’s presentation, titled  “The Audacity of Hope: Daring to Choose a Different World,” will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, in Kern Auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m.

As director of the Centre for Global Negotiations, Quilligan is the American coordinator for the Convention on the Global Commons. He has been an international economic consultant for three decades. He has served as policy advisor and writer for many international politicians and leaders, including Pierre Trudeau, François Mitterand, Edward Heath, Julius Nyerere, Olof Palme, Willy Brandt, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Tony Blair.
