Faculty congratulations that have been compiled through December 2013.

Jim Herbert, professor of education, received the George N. Wright Varsity Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in recognition of his contributions to research and education in the field of rehabilitation counseling.

Esther Prins, associate professor of education, received the 2013 Mildred B. and Charles A. Wedemeyer Award for Outstanding Scholar in Distance Education (with Cathy Kassab, Brendaly Drayton and Ramazan Gungor).

Elizabeth Mellin, associate professor of education, was cited in “Unmistaken Identity” — the cover story for American Counseling Association’s Publication, Counseling Today, http://ct.counseling.org/2013/03/unmistaken-identity/.

Murry B. Nelson, professor emeritus of education and American studies, spoke as part of a panel discussion at the International Dialogue on Education at the British Embassy in Berlin, Germany. Nelson participated in a panel discussion titled “Exploring Difference — International Perspectives on Teacher Training.”
