Moving On

Randy PersingRandy Persing is setting off on the next phase of his life. Randy, multimedia specialist in the Education Technology Center (ETC), has been with the College since 2002, having first come to Penn State in 1982 as an intern. After retiring at the end of January, he will be pursuing his next career as a sales rep for SunDirected, an alternative energy company.


Changing Places

Rose Bomboy
Rose Bomboy is the College’s new assistant coordinator of grants and contracts. Originally from Boalsburg, now living in Howard, Rose joined Penn State in 2002 and came to the College in 2003. Prior to moving into her new position, she worked as the proposal and grant assistant in the College.


New to the College

Allen ClouserAllen Clouser started in early January as the College’s information technology specialist in the Education Technology Center. Allen is a self-described townie who went to Penn State and then worked for three years as a Dell on-site technician. Allen also is the owner of Kiera, a Lacy Dog, an uncommon breed of working dog that originated in Texas.



And the College's Goodling Institute for Research and Family Literacy has added two new people to its Goodling Even Start Program office in Clearfield County. Jennie Shaffer is the coordinator of the new program, and Sara Windish is serving as the program’s parent educator. Both Jennie and Sara are new to Penn State.
