Registration information and guidelines

All registrations must be completed online. After reviewing this section, please click on REGISTRATION and complete the online web form. Once you submit the form you will automatically be taken to the credit card payment screen. Your registration is not complete until payment is received. We require 20 paid participants to hold a workshop and our maximum capacity 25. You must enter each individual participants information accurately. Without accurate participant information you may not be successfully enrolled in the course and it is impossible for us to maintain records or properly communicate with participants regarding the course and live sessions.

Qualifications

You must be qualified to attend this workshop. Please read the Qualifications section to determine if you are qualified. Please note: Registration for individuals not affiliated with a nursing home or current NATCEP will be permitted to register for the workshop only if it is not filled 2 weeks from the registration deadline.

Registration for individuals not affiliated with a nursing home or current NATCEP will be permitted to register for the course only if their request has been approved by the Pa Department of Education and the course is not filled 2 weeks from the registration deadline.

Federal regulation requires a nursing facility to hire individuals who are on the nurse aide registry or who complete a nurse aide program and become enrolled on the registry within 120 days of hire; therefore, priority will be given to instructors who are employed by a long-term care nursing facility or state approved program.

Forfeits

If you cancel your registration before the deadline, you are eligible for a refund. See Refunds. If you cancel or fail to attend or complete a portion of the course after the deadline, you are not eligible for a refund.

Please note, the replacement certificate may be associated with a replacement fee. Please contact Staci Lynch at sml91@psu.edu and include the following information: You will need to email or fax a copy of your current license along with a current mailing address and provide the  dates you attended the workshop. If your name has changed, please also include your previous name. The official certificate must and will be sent via email at this time.

If you still have questions regarding registration, please read the FAQ section, then contact Staci Lynch at (814) 863-0805 or sml91@psu.edu.
