About the Program

Are you a formerly incarcerated individual interested in going to college?

You’re invited to apply to Rising Scholars: A College Pathway Program for Formerly Incarcerated Individuals. This 3-day college preparation event takes place at Penn State University Park from April 2026.

Location: Penn State University Park, State College, PA
Dates: April 5–8, 2026

What’s Included:
Hotel lodging, meals, and transportation to and from State College.

What You’ll Experience:
During this event, you will:

• Meet with career counselors
• Learn how to pay for college
• Find what classes and careers might be right for you
• Tour campus, sit in on classes, and meet with faculty

Who Can Apply:
Formerly incarcerated individuals, age 18 or older, residing in Pennsylvania.
