Vision: Research That Makes A Difference
The College of Education is a leading hub of educational research and innovation that generates evidence-based solutions to pressing educational challenges and translates groundbreaking ideas into practices that benefit society. We value and support a broad range of methodological approaches (e.g., quantitative and causal designs to qualitative, ethnographic, participatory, design-based research, creative and multimodal scholarship, and policy analysis) and acknowledge that rigorous inquiry takes many forms. We honor the range of epistemological stances and theoretical perspectives that guide scholarly inquiry, interpretation, and meaning making. To this end, the College will cultivate a robust community of scholars and partners, fostering a collaborative, interdisciplinary research culture that advances education equity, technological innovation, and excellence in Pennsylvania and beyond.
Our research administrators support our faculty efforts by providing pre-award and post-award services for all sponsored projects, including grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements - from reviewing funding opportunities and guidelines to logistics, budgets, proposal submissions, and more.
