The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires that Undergraduate students in all Instructional I teacher certification programs must successfully complete a Basic Skills Assessment.
The Office of Education and Social Equity supports students to establish healthy connections within the academic community through resource navigation, providing study space, offering multicultural programming, and student advising.
You are able to network with other students through a vast range of student organizations.
Penn State offers many opportunities for professional development including certificates and degrees, Saturday seminars, online seminars or courses, on-campus summer and evening courses, and Web sites. Many of these courses are approved for Act 48 credit.
