Biography
Dr. Tiffany M. Squires is an assistant professor in the Education Policy Studies department and serves as assistant director of Online Programs for Education Leadership. Dr. Squires has 15 years of experience in K-12 education as a teacher, principal, and professional development facilitator, having earned Master’s degrees in education from both Canisius College and Syracuse University and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership from LeMoyne College. She completed her Ph.D. in Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation at Syracuse University (SU). Her dissertation research was focused on the perceptions of principals regarding the role of the school leader in the implementation of curricular and instructional change associated with standards-based reform. At SU, Dr. Squires served as a specialist for research, evaluation, and assessment with Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA) and with the Office of Academic Programs. She also directed online programs and course development for University College. This work resulted in a co-edited book, Bridging the High School College Gap: The Role of Concurrent Enrollment Programs. Her research continues to focus on school systems reform/improvement and highly effective leadership practice.
